First and foremost: Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a total newbie, hello and welcome! We strive to create a safe and welcoming space for all to learn, grow, and go within.
Please take a moment to read the class descriptions so that you can attend the classes that will best suit your needs, goals, and desired experience.
Arrive in comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch freely. If you have a yoga mat, bring it! If you don’t, feel free to borrow one of ours. (Not all exercise mats are suitable for yoga, especially those with significant padding.)
Feel free to bring a water bottle (reusable, please!) if you tend to be thirsty. Our classes are not heated, but if your internal fire is strong, you may also prefer to bring a small towel. As with any exercise, it’s recommended not to eat a large or heavy meal within the 2 hours leading up to class.
The studio door will be unlocked 15 minutes prior to class. We encourage you to arrive early so that you have time to relax and settle in. Once class begins, the door will be locked, so please be sure to arrive on time! It’s important to us that our students enjoy every minute of class time with minimal disruption.
Upon entering the studio, please remove your shoes and place them in one of our cubbies along with any other personal items that won’t be used during your practice. PLEASE be sure to turn your phone off or to Silent (not vibrate.) Check in with the instructor to let them know you’ve arrived, and inform them of any concerns, injuries, or health issues you may be working with. After that, simply choose a spot, unroll your mat, and shift into bliss mode!
Take a moment now, if you haven’t already, to create an account on our booking software, StudioBookings. Once you’ve created your account, you can sign our digital Liability Waiver, a one-time requirement before participating in any of our classes, workshops, or services. You can also buy class packages and sign into class before arriving at the studio! This will allow for a super easy and efficient check-in process before class, leaving you more time to relax!
Last but not least, remember to enjoy the experience! Yoga is about exploring, understanding, and honoring the self. It is not a competition, a place for judgement, or a need for perfection. Our only prerequisites are an open mind and a willingness to learn. We can’t wait to share in your yoga journey. See you on the mat!
Still have questions? Message us here!
Yes! When it comes to yoga, flexibility is NOT a prerequisite. Neither is strength, athleticism, or any particular body type. We mean it! Yoga meets you exactly where you are, and we’re here to support that.
We recommend beginning with our Hatha, Gentle, or Restorative classes if your schedule allows. If not, our Slow Flow class is accessible to all levels of experience as well, just be sure to let the instructor know that you’re just starting out! We also periodically offer a 4-week course for beginners called Yoga Fundamentals, so be sure to check our Workshops to reserve your spot in the next cycle!
Nope! The only thing you need to consider when choosing clothing for a yoga class is: “What makes me feel comfortable and secure?” Your clothing can be form-fitting or loose-fitting, cotton or spandex, short or long. So long as you can move and breathe without restriction and distraction, we’re here for it.
